NEXT STEP
ELA-CS emerged as a natural evolution of the ELA rocket. It was while testing the launch system for the larger CALA rocket that we realized a modified ELA capable of deploying CanSats had a clear role to play. Originally, this was just a side step in development, but it gradually became clear that such a platform made sense in its own right.
After all, it is not always necessary to do the entire competition in a single flight. In many cases, it makes more sense to test just one or two CanSats, verify their functionality, and only then deploy them on a full mission. It was precisely for this purpose that ELA-CS was unwittingly created — as a simple, affordable, and practical platform for real-world testing before an actual competition.

QUALITY OF LIFE
ELA-CS features several improvements that enhance the comfort and efficiency of working with the rocket. The new engine ignition system significantly simplifies flight preparation and makes the rocket easier to operate without the need for complicated procedures.
Thanks to the new internal design of the payload, the rocket itself can be almost completely ignored; everything works reliably without the need for frequent checks. The onboard electronics can run for more than 8 hours on a single battery charge, so during all-day tests—such as when deploying CanSats—there is no need to interrupt operations for recharging.
Added to this is a sturdier and even more simplified motor bay, inspired by innovations from Dart, which simplifies manufacturing. The stabilizers also withstand approximately three times more stress than on the original ELA rocket design.
The result is a rocket that is very user-friendly for all-day use without unnecessarily complicated interventions between individual flights.
